Anxiety harms many different body systems, one being the nervous system.

The nervous system does lots of things for a body's function. So having this system being impacted by anxiety is not a good thing. The nervous system has the brain, the spinal cord, and of course, the nerves. The nerves give us feedback about the world and they make us have body control.

Anxiety can cause the brain to think about being in danger. The temporal lobe is the cause for having these thoughts. This can also occur with social anxiety disorder, where the person will develop fears over social situations which can leave them feeling ashamed and alone. Having your brain filled with all these thoughts can also make concentrating or falling asleep difficult. The brain can also tell your muscles that they are tired and weak.
