Connections between systems

Anxiety causes the systems to interact negatively.

The nervous system, which has the brain, also, has the brain stem within the brain. The brain stem basically tells the rest of the body what to do. The brain stem makes the body less responsive to invaders and if they are sick, it will take longer to recover. That is part if the immune system. The nervous system also impacts the digestive system, because the stress hormones from the brain make the brain stem tell the digestive system to shut down. This causes many symptoms like indigestion, bloating, and constipation.
